Palhares out of UFC 150 injured, new opponent steps in vs. Okami

UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar is just a little over two weeks away and it has just lost one of its main card athletes in Rousimar Palhares. Ironically, the heel hook King seems to have fell to the very injury that he has caused many others to suffer from… A knee injury.

“He got an injury in his knee during the camp. Bad luck. He is out of action for while. After next two weeks we will know for sure if he’ll need a surgery.”

With Palhares out, UFC match-maker Joe Silva scrambled to patch-up the card by moving up newcomer Buddy Roberts (12-2), who was previously scheduled to face Chris Camozzi. Following a recent win over Caio Magalhaes via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox in June.

Okami will need a big change of gameplan as he goes from a strong submission specialist to a well-rounded MMA newcomer. Coming off a loss against Tim Boetsch after dominating majority of the fight, it’s likely we will see a more conserved Okami.
