UFC Versus 1 PredictionsUFC has made it to Versus (not counting WEC) as they present us with a stacked card to kick off their first appearance with “UFC on VERSUS 1.” The event will take place March 21st, Sunday at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO. The event is scheduled to air on the Versus network 9pm ET.

With big fights between Jones and Vera, and  Dos Santos and Gonzaga, the fight paces will be pushed.

Jon Jones vs. Brandon Vera

Jon Jones wins by Referee Stoppage – Round two

Both men are very similar in styles. Vera has the experience over Jones, but Jones is on a 9-1 run which I consider 10-0 as Jones only lost his last fight to Matt Hamil for illegal downward elbows, in a fight he was dominating.

Junior dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga

Junior Dos Santos wins by KO – Round two

Dos Santos striking is always improving and his power is a proven already. Gonzaga has a good chance on the ground and does have heavy hands, but I do not feel his accuracy is on the same leve as Dos Santos.

Cheick Kongo vs. Paul Buentello

Paul Buentello wins by Split Decision

Buentello is dangerous on the ground and standing. Any man that can stand and do that well striking against someone (Stefan Struve) with such a reach advantage can negate Kongo’s heavy hands.

Duane Ludwig vs. Darren Elkins
