Earlier today the MMA website MMAWeekly first reported that Thiago Silva was forced out of fighting Tim Boetsch at UFC 117.

The website has now confirmed with sources close to the fight that the UFC is replacing Silva with UFC newcomer Todd Brown. The bout will remain on the undercard of the event.

This will be Todd Brown’s debut with the UFC. His current record outside the organizations is an impressive 11-1.
