Nelson bounces back with KO victory over Herman

Roy “Big Country” has made his triumphant return to the win column, as he defeats Dave “Pee Wee” Herman emphatically at UFC 146 in Las Vegas, NV with an early knockout finish. It was a wide right hay-maker that dropped his opponent in the first 51 seconds of the first  round. Nelson followed up with one more unneeded rabbit punch as the ref. waved the bout off. Pee Wee displayed disbelief of the KO as he quickly jumped up and disputed the stoppage. A replay of the knockdown proved the referee’s decision to be the right one.

Nelson a former IFL champ had suffered a recent dominating loss to a much improved Fabricio Werdum at UFC 143. The bearded brawler proved to still be a top competitive heavyweight as he took out the training partner of top light heavyweight contender, Dan Henderson – Herman. Nelson now carries notable victories over UFC heavyweights Mirko Cro Cop, Stefan Struve, Brendan Schaub, and now Dave Herman.
