If only there was a controversy filter on our social network posts. Add Conor McGregor to the long list of athletes in hot water for controversial tweets. A question brought up by a fan of McGregor’s, asked who he would rather be in bed with between TUF coaches Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate. To which McGregor made comical by quoting Dr. Dre’s “Let’s Get High”: “One riidin dick, one lickin ma toessssss.”
McGregor would soon after delete the post and apologize to the ladies on his social networks.
I would like to personally apologize to both Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate. This morning I quoted a song on Twitter in an attempt to make a joke, which I now I see was totally unacceptable and offensive. I have infinite respect for Miesha and Ronda as individuals and as athletes. I have always been a big fan of women’s MMA and the incredible talented athletes that compete in the sport. I regret making this offensive comment and I sincerely apologize to anyone whom I offended, but especially Ronda and Miesha.
My guess is that the UFC is heeding on the side of caution here. It’s possible that McGregor had been instructed to delete the posts and apologize. Not that he doesn’t respect the TUF ladies, but are you truly offended by his obvious attempt at comedy?
