Ricardo Lamas vs. UFC Featherweight Champion
A lot of people want to fight for the featherweight title, but at this point Lamas may deserve it the most out of anyone. At 4-0, he has submitted Cub Swanson, was the first person to take out then-ranked number two Hatsu Hioki, and just became the only man to finish Eric Koch. Now it should be his chance to face the winner of the Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar for the title.
Anthony Pettis vs. UFC Lightweight Champion
Pettis sold everyone that he deserves the next title shot, and he is willing to wait for it. Obviously, a lot of people want to see Pettis rematch Benson Henderson, but if Gilbert Melendez against wins Henderson he will be the champion. Pettis has earned title shots a few times, but he may finally get a chance to fight for it.
Glover Teixeira vs. winner of Rashad Evans vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
Teixeira is on his way to a title shot, but there are a few people in front of him. If Dan Henderson and Alexander Gustafsson win their next fights, there is no denying that they deserve a title shot more than Teixeira. So he will have to have a few more fights, and a match with Evans or Nogueira would be another great win on his record.
Demetrious Johnson vs. winner of Darren Uyenoyama vs. John Moraga
With only 13 fighters in the UFC’s flyweight division, it is hard to make compelling title fights. By comparison, the UFC’s light-heavyweight division has the least amount of fighters, aside from the new women’s division, and they still have 37 fighters. They have or have had nine of the top ten at 125 pounds under contract. Out of those 13 fighters, only six of them are coming off a win and that is counting the champion, and out of those five only three have more than one win. So it would make sense to put Uyenoyama and Moraga in a number-one contenders fight, and the winner would be at 3-0 and would be the next logical contender.
