Chris Leben vs. Rousimar Palhares
Leben did not look like himself in this fight, and who knows what exactly is to blame. Despite the loss, he will remain with the UFC, and get at least one more chance to prove he belongs. Palhares has hit a rough road as of late after getting finished in the first round in his last two matches. A match up with Leben would let him prove himself against a good striker that is not going to be outclassed on the ground. Either way this fight could end fast and violently.
Alan Belcher vs. Ed Herman
It has always been known that Belcher’s weakness was in his wrestling, but it was bad that he continued to pull for a guillotine when that is where he was losing the fight. A match with Ed Herman would be a great fight, even if Herman is scheduled to take on former Strikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo Souza. Win or lose against Jacare, this is a match that makes sense, and one that would be a great addition to any card.
Joe Lauzon vs. Nate Diaz
Joe Lauzon looked great, even in defeat, as he proved that he is always dangerous on the ground, whether winning or losing. That is the same thing that happened when Nate Diaz lost to Benson Henderson. This loss did not move Lauzon down the ladder much in the lightweight rankings, and probably helped grow his fan base to an even larger audience. A match between the two has instant classic written all over it, and would probably give an early fight of the year contender for 2013.
Junior Dos Santos vs. Daniel Cormier
They talk about Cormier moving down the light-heavyweight now that his training partner has won the UFC heavyweight title. Realistically, they should have Cormier fight Dos Santos, because even if Cormier wins it does not take away a contender for the belt since Dos Santos was just beaten by Cain. If Dos Santos beats Cormier convincingly though, it sets up a good storyline. With a win, Dos Santos would take out one of Velasquez’s training partners, and would also prove he could beat a fighter very similar in style to Velasquez. That would convince fans that a rubber match is necessary.

Lauzon is a great guy and fighter. But Diaz would box his eyes shut.
Leben vs Franklin. Diaz vs Lauzon sounds great, but Diaz’s boxing would be too much. Lauzon vs Florian. That’s if Florian returns. He isn’t gonna stay retired. Diaz vs Varner would be great.
