We told you this saga wasn’t over, and it looks like it’s finally having the outcome that the fans and Mark Hunt in particular were looking for.

With Dana White saying that Hunt had turned down a bout with Dos Santos, and Hunt denying the whole notion of him ever turning down a fight, one was left to wonder just who was actually telling the truth.

But it matters not, as White and Hunt have both confirmed that Hunt will face Junior dos Santos at UFC 160 in Las Vegas on May 25.

As reported by Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com, Hunt and White had a phone conversation that finally settled matters, with both parties more than satisfied with the outcome of the call.

There is no news on who Alistair Overeem will fight now as he recovers from his quad injury.

Hunt (9-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC) enters this bout on an impressive four-fight win streak, with his last victory being a ‘Knockout of the Night’ win over Stefan Struve last weekend at UFC on FUEL TV in the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Dos Santos (15-2 MMA, 9-1 UFC), however, is coming off the first loss of his UFC career, losing his heavyweight championship to Cain Velasquez.

UFC 160 is headlined by a heavyweight championship bout between champion Velasquez and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, with this Dos Santos/Hunt bout more than likely the co-main event.
