Just saying the name “Nick Diaz” conjures up immediate images of bad blood boiling over and the kind of trash talk that would make a sailor blush. But as weird as it may sound, the older Diaz brother isn’t always that mean mugger who scrapped with Joe Riggs in the hospital after their UFC 57 fight or the guy who was going to fight GSP in the parking lot. No, there’s evidence in existence that proves that he’s actually compassionate and nice. Case in point: this old WEC fight (circa 2003) against former Lions Den fighter Joe Hurley. Sure, Diaz nearly rips his arm off to get the tap, but afterwards, Stockton’s favorite son displays some genuine concern for his opponent’s well-being. Crazy, right?
