From loss of employment, to suffering a life threatening health issue, to now a reported full recovery, and two new jobs. Muhammad ‘King Mo’ Lawal has bounced back. Spike television has ‘crowned a new King‘ as their promo suggests. It also shows Lawal as part of both Bellator MMA and TNA pro wrestling now. Though Lawal is unable to compete in Bellator until his suspension is lifted in Sept., we will likely see the charismatic pro wrestling fan sooner than later in TNA.
The start of King Mo’s recent downfall in MMA was shortly after a turned over decision to no contest against Lorenz Larkin in Jan. after testing positive for the anabolic steroids drostanolone. To this day Lawal denies the use of any performance enhancer. The failed test, was then followed by Lawal calling a NSAC member a ‘racist bitch‘ which caused the instant termination of the former champ.
Either way, the animated side of King Mo ‘Lawal’ that was seen prior to the UFC buyout can now return. With reports of Lawal also receiving a higher salary for his dual-employment, it would look to be a perfect opportunity for other cross overs such as his former enemy, Quinton ‘Rampage ‘Jackson as he’s been adamantly unhappy with the UFC.
