Jones says he would like to make HW debut against Overeem
UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones has hinted in the past of plans to move up in weight to the heavyweight division. During the recent UFC 156 Q&A with the fans, Jones talked once again about the eventual move.
“I think heavyweight is going to come along around 2014, maybe even late this year,” said Jones “Who knows. It’ll definitely be a fight for the fans.”
When questioned on a match-up at the event, Jones responded by simply saying “Alistair Overeem.”
The proposed match-up will not take place anytime soon as Jones looks to make his title defense against TUF coach opponent Chael Sonnen and Alistair Overeem looks to face Antonio “Big Foot” Silva this weekend on the pay-per-view event.

Overeem would smash Jones keep in mind he has size and power and for an HW he moves around very good not goung sit and wait for jones to make his moves. has the clear advantage plus what alot ppl tend to forget is Overeem is got sick standup along with very good ground game that most tend to forget about he has alot of submission wins in his career. If you look at all the guys Jones has beatin he has had height and reach advantage but in this case no.
