Jones on HW Super Fight: ‘It’s going to happen, Cain’s not that big’ (Video)

We may have lost the luster of Anderson Silva vs. Georges St-Pierre facing off, however we’ve gained two other champs on a possible collision course. With the young Jon Jones still growing, he is still telling the fans and media that the plan is to move to heavyweight in a year or two.

During a recent Q&A session with UFC champ Jon Jones and famed trainer Firas Zahabi – a female fan asked Jon if he had any plans in changing weigh class.

“Yeah, definitely,” said Jones. I think that’s going to happen in the next two years. I’ll go up to heavyweight, permanently. I am looking to take a super fight in the next year, so yeah, I’m super excited for it. I’ve been really thinking about me and Cain Velasquez going at it. I think it will be huge for the sport.”

“You know he’s definitely the toughest guy in the division and he’s not that big, so I think it would be a really entertaining fight. Don’t be surprised if you see that sooner or later.”
