Well it looks like we may have another fight to had to the cards for UFC 116. It was reported today that Jon “Bones” Jones and Vladmir “The Janitor” Matyushenko, have both verbally agreed for a bout at UFC 116 (UFC on Versus 2) on August 1st.
Vladmir, is an older fighter who competed in the UFC during the early days of MMA. He first appeared at UFC 32, and competed four more times until leaving the organization after he lost a bout to Andrei Arlovski at UFC 44. He then moved on to fight in the IFC and Affliction. Matyushenko recently resigned with the UFC, where he beat Igor Pokrajac and then Elliot Marshall at UFC 103.
Bones Jones is definitely one of the up-and-comers in the UFC. Jones would be considered undefeated if not for a argued disqualification for an illegal elbow on Matt Hamill. He has amazing unorthodox striking as well as impressive wrestling skills. Jones is coming off his recent win over Brandon “The Truth” Vera and as of now, it looks as if no one can compete with him.
