Joe Lauzon vs Anthony Pettis added to UFC 144 in JapanNovember 16, 2011 by Savannah Labate

Japan looks to be getting an event packed with lightweight action as two more of the divisions top fighters have been added.  The last WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis (12-2) will face UFC vet. Joe Lauzon (21-6) at UFC 144 in Saitama, Japan.

Pettis, known for his high flying cage kick highlight reel has recently rebounded from his loss to Clay Guida by defeating a very tough Jeremy Steven by decision at UFC 136. Prior to Pettis’ loss, the WEC stand-out was riding a four fight win streak.

J-Lau recently reminded everyone of the danger of his submission ground game, submitting a very hyped Melvin Guillard in the first round at UFC 136. Lauzon a 5 time submission of the night holder looks to continue a current two fight win streak.

The UFC 144 card will headline UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar vs Benson Henderson at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on February 26, 2012.
