Unlike that Irish primadonna who refused to leave the fjords of Iceland to fulfill his media obligations, Daniel Cormier trekked out to New York City yesterday to kickoff the promote UFC 200, which the light-heavyweight champ will now headline opposite Jon Jones.
And Cormier did so despite his kid having a recital back home that he absolutely did not want to miss.
Of course, the UFC did their part in making it work – they flew a camera crew out to film the recital and broadcast it on the champ’s phone so he could watch it live.
Take it away, Mr. Cormier…
Not the best stream but I wanted to see my boy perform today in his spring performance. He’s been so excited. I wanna thank the @ufc for making the stream happen. We work for a great company. They went out the way to make this happen. Since the stream isn’t good they filmed it and have a copy for @peechypie Salina and I to watch with little Dan. Thanks to @danawhiteufc and Craig borsari for making it happen. Our kids are the most important thing in the world. Ufc champion < Dad. Thank you I am forever grateful. DC
