Hendo on Sonnen: “I should stop training and go to shit talking school”
Dan Henderson was none to happy to learn that not only has he lost his title shot, but that he will need to wait until mid 2013 for a possible title shot, as the title will be tied up in the upcoming season of TUF till April. Hendo took to Twitter to voice his anger to the public and his UFC boss.

The former Pride FC champ does make a good point as Sonnen is earning a light heavyweight title shot, riding off a loss to Anderson Silva in middleweight. That can all be attributed to his gift of gab as Sonnen had swayed the fans in his favor to earn the TUF coaching position and the title shot in one swoop.
UFC president Dana White has said it time and time again – the UFC is a business and they give the fans what they want to buy.
Dan Henderson is expected to be meeting former champ Lyoto Machida next as the news was dropped by White during the UFC 152 post-fight press conference.

I feel bad for Hendo! But Sonnen vs Jones will be a huge fight. I think since I have no say in it Hendo should fight Jones after he beats Sonnen.

This is not WWE nor should it turn into it. If more fighters start trash talking that’s exactly what will happen. Bigger name sponsors like Nike and Burger King and more fights on prime time free TV legitimize the sport, trash talk will compromise that.
Sonnen will be good on TUF because he’s entertaining. But they should change the format of the show so that the coaches are contenders fighting for a title shot. This just ties up the champion

Dana or Joe messed up. They screwed old man Dan out of a title shot. The UFC should pick fight by rank not by popularity. I think it will lead to boring fights. When K1 gets on Spike it may cause problems for UFC ratings.

Hendo should get the next shot but it is understandable that he doesn’t when you bring TUF into the equation. Sonnen will be a huge ratings boost for TUF which has not had an appealing coach matchup since mayhem/bisping. I however don’t see why Hendo doesn’t get the next shot after Sonnen. He did earn it. Shouldn’t punish a guy because he’s injured.
This is just so much bullshit!! Hendo is right, Sonnen’s fights are boring! I appreciate a good wrestler as much as the next guy but i wouldn’t even say Sonnen is in the top 5 in the UFC. So all you have to do is talk shit to get 2 title shots in a row when you dont deserve them. If guys like that catch on i give it a year before the UFC will be unrecognizable to WWE. Before long we’ll have clowns throwing steal chairs into the octagon while Sonnen’s corner are distracting Herb Dean!
Ha ha ha ha! I think that’s a bit far fetched. But, the UFC takes the easy way when able,,and this is the easy way. You could buildup contenders, work on a big publicity campaign for them, strengthen the whole LHW for the future…..or toss the village loudmouth in then Irving (totally ignoring those lines up with promised title shots, etc), because its easy to make people watch that one fight, big payoff. But then what? After Sonnen, then what?
no doubt Sonnen has a give for the gab and has created now what seems to be a pretty good purse ..me personally want to see this one fight sonnen vs jones..and he is making some huge paydays..my prediction is sonnen will be punished severely with some vicious elbows to his grill..and he will be out for some time..so my advice to Hendo and Forrest and the rest is sit back and watch ..both Hendo and Forrest are about at the end of their careers , so i can see why they would like to get into the ring and cash in a big check..and right now Jones Bones and A. Silva ..are huge money makers for the UFC..and thats why these guys are fighting ..the realityis Many want to see Sonnen back his shit up and beat Jones ..and the others want Jones to finish and shut Sonnen up once and for all..Silva barely beat Sonnen in the first fight beat him more convincing in the 2nd fight..Jones will give him the beating of his life.
