UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson, has high hopes for his fight with Shogun Rua at UFC on FOX 5, this December 8th. He doesn’t plan on just winning the fight, but winning it in quite an impressive fashion. Gustafsson says he’s going to knock out Rua in the second round, and prove that he’s title fight material.
“When it’s time, I will be more than ready to fight him. Shogun is a very tricky fighter, he has a good double-leg, really good striking, I have to be prepared for everything. His biggest strength is his heart, as a fighter. It’s gonna be a tough fight, for sure. I will knock him out in the second round.”
So far, the only other bouts announced for this event are a main event title fight between current lightweight champ Ben Henderson and Nate Diaz and Rory MacDonald taking on B.J. Penn. More on UFC on FOX 5 as the even gets closer.
