Lightweights Ross Pearson and Melvin Guillard have been given the honors of the co-main slot of the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Munoz card on Oct. 26 in Manchester, England. Originally Guillard was planning to appear on the UFC’s following event, but after being offered the roll of upsetting Pearson in his hometown, Guillard relished the thought.
Standing 7-3 in the UFC, Pearson is a dangerous opponent for any man. After back-to-back T/KOs of his nemesis George Sotiropoulos and the son of a Hall-of-Famer Ryan Couture, Pearson has built a name for himself that is not too far from title contention with a win over Guillard.
Guillard may have one of the most rocky records in the promotion, yet he is always exciting, which has kept him around since 2008. Melvin recently rebounded from two losses with a viscous KO of Mac Danzig at UFC on Fox 8 on July 27.
