UFC 155 continues to stack as Joe Lauzon and Gray Maynard agree to a scrap on the year-ending card on Dec. 29 in Las Vegas, NV. Still no venue verified for the event, but you can be assured it will likely be at the MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay events center. The match will be set as a second co-headline to Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez.
Maynard has spent much time as a perennial contender as of late. Following a draw and a loss to former champ Frankie Edgar, Maynard had rebounded with a unanimous decision win over an unimpressive Clay Guida back in June. Maynard will hope to have a more aggressive outing with a much more willing to engage Lauzon.
Fellow veteran, Joe Lauzon has had an up and down career. In arguably the most crowded division of talent, Lauzon has been unable to string together enough wins to challenge for a title. Looking for a second straight after defeating former WEC champ Jamie Varner, Lauzon can look to make a leap with a victory over Maynard.
As of now the UFC 155 card is expected to feature Forrest Griffin vs. Chael Sonnen as well in the co-main headline.
