GOOD4U: Another brand banned by UFC

Well GOOD4U, it looks like things aren’t going so “good for you.” Zuffa announced earlier, that they would be adding GOOD4U sport’s drinks to their list of banned brands.

According the GOOD4U company, they were informed this morning by Lorenzo Fertitta as well as the UFC, that their brand is no longer allowed in UFC or WEC. The ban will start at this Saturday’s huge fight , UFC 121 which features a headlining title bout with Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez. Bummer for them…

Double D Beverage’s C0-President, Rick DeBanks stated;

“GOOD4U Drinks is seen by Zuffa as a direct competitor to Xenergy (which is owned by Zuffa) and AMP Energy which advertises heavily on both WEC events and Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter program, and although GOOD4U are sport drinks not energy drinks, they have been taking share from these brands.”

Several fighters including Matt Hamill, Joe Madsen, Patrick Cote and Chris Camozzi, who would have all had GOOD4U as sponsors this weekend, no longer will.

Shane Carwin who was also being sponsored by the company, and was shown throughout the website, expressed his dissatisfaction with Zuffa via his Twitter account;

“And another worthy, great, honorable company supporting fighters banned from the UFC,” Carwin tweeted. “Thank you for making a tough road even tougher.”
