Gomi vs Sotiropoulus announced for UFC 144 Japan

The UFC is pulling all the stops for its first return to Japan in over a decade. UFC 144 has just received another Japanese star on its roster, as the UFC officially announces Takanori Gomi vs George Sotiropoulus at the Feb. 26 event in Saitama, Japan.

Though both men are currently on a two fight losing streak, they are both known for their past achievements in the sport. Gomi a former Pride champion has faced fierce opposition since his debut in the UFC in March of 2010. As for Sotiropoulos, after peeling off eight straight victories the Australian has had a bad 2011 so far losing to both Dennis Siver and Rafael dos Anjos.
