I guess Nick Diaz was right. UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre has gone full Hollywood. GSP calls in a stunt double to help with the upcoming UFC on Fox Sports commercial slams. Don’t want to injure yourself acting I suppose. Johny Hendricks appreciates that. Will get to see more of St-Pierre’s acting in his upcoming villain role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The shoot is set to promote the upcoming launch of UFC on Fox Sports 1 (formerly Speed TV) on Aug 17th.
“I feel good — I didn’t have to do too many takes. The camera guy and the crew were perfect. I decided to do my own stunts because it is more authentic. I’m used to doing it. It’s mixed martial arts, it’s what I do every day. My stunt guy was there more for the measurement and stuff. It was fun. My acting is just as good as my Chinese, terrible.”
The channels debut is set with a highly anticipated match-up between light heavyweights Chael Sonnen versus Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, as well as co-headlining heavyweights Alistair Overeem versus Travis Browne.
