Floyd Mayweather Jr.: “I think I can take MMA to another level”

Justin Bieber

Undefeated boxing champ Floyd “Money” Mayweather may have dominated the boxing world, recently pulling in 41.5 million for his victory over Saul “Canelo” Alvarez,  but now he may be taking on a new sport with the help of his manager Al Haymon. Unfortunately, not as a fighter but as a management team. If you were not aware, Mayweather is also a savvy businessman, known for taking on ventures. Add MMA to the list.

“I want to promote MMA fighters also. We are looking to promote MMA fighters, so it’s the first time you’re hearing it. Al Haymon is looking to manage MMA fighters. Even though Al Haymon hasn’t came on record and said it, but I want Al to manage MMA fighters. I think I can take it to the next level.”

As for original ill-comments on the sport, those were a thing of the past, or perhaps even just part of his persona at the time.

“I don’t mind doing business with Dana White. Dana White’s a cool guy. I’ve been knowing Dana before he got involved with the MMA.” –

I wonder if “Money” is aware that White publicly called Mayweather a racist, a dummy and a knucklehead. Either way, neither man has had issue putting personal feelings aside to make a good business decision. Whatever you do Floyd, leave J-Bieb at home.
