Mirko Cro Cop and Big Nog call for rematch at UFC Rio

The two Pride FC legends would like to do it again. Following comments made by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s boxing coach calling for a rematch at UFC Rio between himself and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipović, Cro Cop responds.

“Yes I saw the comments made by Nogueira’s boxing coach and I agree,” Filipovic stated. “I am ready to fight Nogueira any time, even in Brazil in August.”

The first bout between the two took place back in Nov. of 2003 at Pride ‘Final Conflict.’ Big Nog pulled out an armbar victory in the second round to put a stop to Cro Cops five fight win-streak.

Cro Cop’s last two outings had proven to not be his best days with KO losses from Frank Mir and Brendan Schaub. Following the fight UFC President Dana White hinted that it may be time to cut the former Pride champ from the organization. At this time Cro Cop is still employed by the UFC.

Big Nog also has not been as vital as he has been in the past, losing two of his last three bouts by KO from Cain Velasquez and a TKO by Frank Mir.

With all that considered would you be interested in these two legends being added to the Rio line-up?
