Lesnar vs. Velasquez at UFC 119

A fight between current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, and current top heavyweight contender Cain Velasquez, has been slated for UFC 119 on September 25th,

Prior to the this past weekend’s fight, Dana White told Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin that whoever won the championship fight, would most likely be going head-to-head with Cain Velasquez (if injuries were not an issue) at UFC 119.

This event will mark the UFC’s debut in the state of Indiana, at the Conseco Fieldhouse. Indiana only just recently began to allow the sport in their state.

Brock Lesnar is coming off an impressive victory over Shane Carwin at this past Saturday’s UFC 116. Lesnar had been ill for several months with diverticulitis, a serious intestinal illness. His current record is 5-1.

Cain Velasquez is coming off a win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira via KO at UFC 110. His professional record is currently untarnished and stands at 8-0
