James Toney Officially released from the UFC, wants to still do MMA
The UFC has confirmed today that they have released James Toney from his remaining fight contract. The release comes after a lackluster performance against 47-year-old, Randy Couture at UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn 2, where he failed to land a single shot on the UFC legend.
This also comes days after Toney told the press that he is yet to receive any release papers from the UFC. The boxing heavyweight also went on to say that regardless if it is for the UFC or not, he would like to have another MMA fight.
Toney signed a multi-fight contract worth $500,000 per fight earlier this year.
