Both UFC champions were nominated as Georges St. Pierre was up for “Best Fighter of the year,” and Edgar was up for “biggest upset of the year.” Neither UFC nominee would come away with the title as GSP lost to undefeated boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather . Edgar also lost to Northern Iowa mens college basketball team, which  upset the top seeded Kansas Jayhawks in the 2010 NCAA tournament.
