GSP fighting Koscheck in Montreal at UFC 124 after all

UFC 124 has just been made official for Montreal, Canada with headliners Georges St. Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck, following season 12 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Koscheck will most likely have no love after his remarks following his victory over Paul Daley in Montreal. Here’s the quotes in case you had forgotten or missed:

“Hey, don’t worry. Pittsburgh Penguins are going to kick your ass next week, baby. YEEEAAAH!! And then I’m gonna beat St-Pierre, so you guys are gonna lose twice. How ’bout that? Yeah, that’s right, Montreal. My afterparty’s at Club 7.”

Many rumors were coming out that the bout would take place in Las Vegas at the end of the year, as the UFC usually likes to finish off the year in their hometown. The fight is expected to be held December 12, at the Bell Centre, being the fifth time the UFC has put on shows up in Montreal. No other fights have been made official, but we will keep you updated as it releases.

  • My favorite part of those remarks was that he didn’t show up at Club 7 for his after party…. and for good reason! Interesting match-up. Koscheck is good, he can take a beating, quick, and has attitude. I think he’s bit off more than he can chew though. I just don’t think he has the skills to beat GSP. Not enough in his arsenal at the time. I do keep forgetting that Koscheck is first and foremost a wrestler which could tip things to pair up with his ground-n-pound. The great thing about MMA is…. who knows. It could go either way but I have GSP stuffind the take-downs and beating him with strikes. I’ll take GSP by stoppage due to strikes.
