Top UFC welterweight contender, Jon Fitch (23-3-1) will look to return from a 10-month layoff against fellow wrestling stand-out, Johny Hendricks (11-1) at UFC 141, Dec. 30. The event had been in works for weeks, and has today been made publicly official by the UFC to take place in their backyard in Las Vegas, NV.
Fitch will be coming off a draw with fellow top contender BJ Penn. The two were expected to have a rematch, but Fitch and Penn both suffered injuries, delaying the fight infidelity.
Collegiate wrestler, Johny Hendricks will look to continue a two fight win-streak against top contender Fitch.
UFC 141 will headline a massive match-up between former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem to cap off a huge year for the organization.
