Dunham vs. Barboza set for UFC 146 in Vegas

Two of the UFC’s top young prospects will look to face-off at UFC 146 as Dana White has officially announced Evan Dunham vs. Edson Barboza. The card is set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 26. The event will headline newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos vs. Alistair Overeem.

Barboza is still yet to taste defeat at 20-0 in his professional record, and a spectacular 4-0 in his short UFC career. The Brazilian was last seen landing the first ever spinning-wheel-kick KO on Terry Etim at UFC 142. The 26-year-old also holds two “Fight of the Night” performances already in the organization.

Dunham shares a similar success as he started his UFC career with a 4-0 win streak before losing a controversial split-decision to former champ Sean Sherk and getting caught by heavy handed Melvin Guillard. Since then the 27-year-old has taken out two straight competitors as he decision-ed a tough Shamar Bailey and TKO’d (doctor stoppage) Nik Lentz.

Here is the UFC 146 line-up as of now.

Champ Junior Dos Santos vs. Alistair Overeem (Heavyweight title fight)
Edson Barboza vs. Evan Dunham
C.B. Dollaway vs. Jason “Mayhem” Miller
