Former Strikeforce female champion Cris Cyborg didn’t take the accusations made recently by UFC president Dana White too lightly.
White, who stated he believes Cyborg is still using performance enhancing drugs, told Combate that she is prepared to be tested “today, tomorrow or whenever they want.”
“Nobody has the right to accuse you without evidence,” Cyborg said. “I have explained many times that the doping episode was an error during the weight loss for that fight, and it is our mistake and we evolved. Just because we are not perfect, we have no right to judge anyone.”
The failed drug test came two years ago, and Cyborg stated she was “tested in two of the last three fights,” passing both.
The 28-year-old finished Marloes Coenen in July to become the Invicta FC featherweight champion. She is currently scheduled to compete in Lion Fight against Jorina Baars for the welterweight title next month.
Last week, Tito Ortiz stepped down as the manager for Cyborg, claiming that the UFC and White were holding a grudge against the former champion to keep Cyborg out of the promotion.
“I cannot be judged for the rest of my life for a mistake I made two years ago,” she said. “I do not want to remember my whole career by the only mistake I made.”
