Have you ever had a friend with the gift of gab and a silver tongue, who somehow, someway could talk his way into and out of anything?
Well, the sport of MMA has that friend, and his name is Conor McGregor.
The Irishman’s achievements are obviously great. He single-handedly turned the featherweight division into must-see TV, he took out the formerly unbeatable Jose Aldo in a mere 13 seconds, and in March he’ll be headlining another UFC pay-per-view, where he’ll be challenging lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos for his belt. All that stuff is huge. But wait, there’s more…
…Today, Conor McGregor inducted himself into the Hall of Fame.
I’m happy to announce that I have inducted myself into the UFC hall of fame.
Details of event to follow.

You just know that when that tweet hit the Internet, the brass at the UFC’s offices were all like, “Uh, okay, let’s make him a plaque and etch his name on the Hall of Fame statue.”
