Velasquez retains title with quick work of Bigfoot at UFC 160

Cain Velasquez (12-1) has once again taken out Brazilian Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (18-5) in Las Vegas, at UFC 160.

It was literally seconds in the fight as Cain Velasquez lands a simple 1 – 2 combo on the big chin, dropping Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva as he lunges in. From there the champ spins to the side of Silva and finishes with some elementary rights to get the ref. stoppage. “Bigfoot” quickly denies the stoppage, but it makes no difference.

The champ has now taken out his third straight opponent since losing the title to Junior dos Santos in Nov. 2011. Rebounding with the devastating and destructive first round finish of Antonio Silva, he follows up with a dominant five round beating of then champ dos Santos. With his only lost avenged, he is now eyeing a likely trilogy fight between himself and JDS.
