Shortly after a loss to Vitor Belfort, the former perennial contender, Michael Bisping is ready to get back on the proverbial horse. It will be no easy passage however as he takes on Alan Belcher, coming off a loss as well. The two are set to collide at the upcoming UFC 159 on April 27 in Newark, New Jersey. The event is currently set to headline Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen for the UFC light heavyweight title.
UFC 155 was a bad night for Belcher, as he drops down the ladder with a unanimous decision loss to Yushin Okami after a four-fight win-streak. Looking to return to his winning ways, Belcher will be looking to cover his holes in his game which were exploited by his last opponent.
When Bisping came up short against the formative Belfort, it reminded many of the devastating KO he suffered at the hand of Dan Henderson’s H-Bomb. “The Count” will now need to string together a set of wins to be back in the position he was in just last month.
