Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva really wants to get back in the cage as soon as possible to avenge his second loss to Cain Velasquez. So much in fact that he has called out a fighter outside his weight class, who is also a former training partner at American Top Team. Thiago Silva had just earned another highlight finish with a knockout of Rafael Cavalcante at last nights UFC on FUEL TV 10 when Bigfoot took to Twitter to say this.
O Tiago pesa 105 kg ele é peso pesado e tem q baixar d peso, temos uma divida a resolver, ele poderia aceitar 1 luta comigo no peso pesado.

The Portuguese tweet Translates to basically say Thiago is a larger light heavyweight walking around at 231lbs. and that he should come up to heavyweight to face him, as they have unsettled business.
The “business” Bigfoot mentions is not clarified, but during the post-fight press conference, Thiago was asked as to why Bigfoot would call for the fight.
“He must be sad because I left American Top Team, but if he wants to fight me he has to come down to 205. That’s it,” said Silva.
Obviously, Bigfoot could not make the 205 lb. limit, as he is one of the larger heavyweights that cuts down to make 265 lbs. Too bad we don’t live in the pre-Zuffa era when weight classes and athletic commissions were not an issue. For those reasons, we will never see this grudge match unless Thiago feels like packing on some pounds to test out the heavyweight waters, which we’d highly recommend against.
