Apparently Aljamain Sterling Doesn’t Think a Submission Is Decisive

It’s no mean feat to take out a crafty veteran, but to do so with a submission – and a particular kind of submission that hasn’t been seen in the UFC since Jeremy Horn put Chuck Liddell to sleep at UFC 19 – well, that’s pretty damn cool.

But apparently Aljamain Sterling doesn’t think that kind of win is decisive enough.

In his postfight scrum in the press room, which occurred not long after tapping out Takeya Mizugaki with an arm-triangle from the bottom on the UFC on FOX 15 prelims, Sterling was appreciative of getting the victory. He just wanted more, though.

It’s worth noting that Sterling pulled a muscle getting a takedown on the Japanese fighter, and that that sub couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.
