Rockhold defends title, decimating Jardine (play by play)

The newly crowned Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold (9-1) completes his first Strikeforce title defense against UFC veteran Keith Jardine (17-10-2) via TKO in only one round in Las Vegas, NV. Here is the full play by play.

Round One:
Jardine rushes forward aggressive. Jardine opens with low leg kicks. Jardine barely misses with a big left eats a counter. Rockhold misses a flying knee and attempts the clinch. Jardine throws knees in the clinch. Jardine pushes out and Rockhold lands a big elbow on the way out. Rockhold lands a spinning back-kick right into the mid-section. Rockhold eats a big right by Jardine. Rockhold misses spinning back-kick. Jardine throws leg kicks baking up. Rockhold lands behind the ear which drops Jardine briefly. Jardine up and stays aggressive. Jardine gets caught coming in dangerously with a  flurry by a sharp jab that stumbles him. Rockhold swarms the injured fighter and it takes the Ref. a second but it’s all over.
