“The Baby Faced Assassin” Josh Barnett (30-5) makes his successful Strikeforce debut with a victory over Brett “The Grim” Rogers (11-3) in Dallas, Texas. Barnett used his ground experience in the cage to outclass the younger Rogers. Here is the full play by play.
Barnett counters a kick with a shot that ends in a large takedown into side control. Rogers scrambles and gets Barnett to half guard. Barnett is able to pass directlt into full guard and struggles to poster up. The crowd is booing as Barnett is unable to do much from the top as the round ends.

Rogers comes forward and Barnett gets a beautiful hip toss off of Rogers momentum. Barnett quickly moves to full mount and gets the arm triangle and its all over as Rogers taps.
