Fedor tired of the critics, ready to fight Overeem next

As we reported earlier, Fedors camp has been considering having ‘The Last Emporer’ fight either in Japan or Russia for another organization until Strikeforce is able to provide the Werdum rematch. Now reports are coming out that Fedor himself says he is willing to fight Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem for the title in November – December.

Though Emelianenko is coming off a loss, it would not be the first time Strikeforce allowed someone to get a title shot  following a  loss, as we’ve seen with Brett Rogers.

Here is the quote from the recent M-1 press conference:

Fedor Emelianenko: “Absolutely, I would like a rematch with Werdum. But as he was recently operated on, then as soon as this fight is unlikely to happen. This year, in November-December, I would prefer to meet in a cage with Alistair Overeem.”
