Mike Tyson admits off sobriety: “I’m on the verge of dying” (Video)

The spotlight is a heavy load for most to deal with. Even the great Mike Tyson struggles, despite dealing with it for over 25 years. Tyson continues to share his trials and tribulations during a recent press conference. “Iron Mike” may have looked clean and happy in his recent showings, however that is not the case according to the former heavyweight champ.

“I’m a motherfucker. I’m a bad guy sometimes. I did a lot of bad things, and I want to be forgiven. So in order for me to be forgiven, I hope they can forgive me. I wanna change my life, I wanna live a different life now. I wanna live my sober life. I don’t wanna die. I’m on the verge of dying, because I’m a vicious alcoholic. Wow. God, this is some interesting stuff.”

“I haven’t drank or took drugs in six days, and for me that’s a miracle. I’ve been lying to everybody else that think I was sober, but I’m not. This is my sixth day. I’m never gonna use again.” – Via

Mike Tyson does have his own television show coming up on the new Fox Sports 1 channel and if sobriety requires stepping back, we understand. We wish the best for the youngest boxing champion of all time on his road to sobriety.
