Singapore MMA promotion ONE Championship, formerly known as ONE FC, doesn’t net that many headlines stateside.

But they can boast a lot of hard hitting action, partly due to a open ruleset that includes both soccer kicks and elbow strikes, and partly due to a roster that includes top talent like Ben Askren and Shinya Aoki.

“When we’re in North America, we’re so used to what we have there. We don’t see the pace that’s happening here (in Asia),” ONE CEO Victor Cui boasted in a recent interview. “You’re talking about 4.5 billion people here in Asia; and ONE Championship has a 90% market share.”
