Kickboxing returns to the states as Spike TV and K-1 strike a television deal to bring the hard hitting organization to (hopefully) mainstream. Starting with September 8 as the organization puts on a show in Los Angeles – then Tokyo on Oct. 14; Athens on Dec. 8 and New York on Dec. 26. – Spike will be airing all of their events.
“We are thrilled to be in business with the world’s preeminent kickboxing organization,” Spike TV senior vice president Jon Slusser stated in a news release. “Spike has the most passionate and knowledgeable fans of combat sports and we are confident that they will enjoy the high-action of K-1, which serves as the perfect complement to our Bellator coverage next year.”
The group is known for its top tier strikers from all over the world. Creating MMA monsters like Mark Hunt, Alistair Overeem, and Mirko CroCop. If you are a fan of knockouts then this may be your new favorite sport to watch.
