That crazy rant by Jason “Mayhem” Miller about fighting Josh Barnett on social media makes a little more sense now.
According to a report by MMAFighting.com, Miller was arrested February 7 in Orange County, California on suspicion of driving under the influence. The arrest is just the latest in a long list of criminal activity by the former Ultimate Fighter coach.
Earlier this week, Miller signed with Italian promotion Venator FC to face Luke Barnatt for the middleweight title in May. It would mark a return to the cage for the first time since 2012 if he shows up for the contest.
Before that, though, Miller will need to appear in local court March 7 on the latest charge. He was released the same day of his arrest.
A report posted by TMZ Sports indicated that local police called in 15 officers and the K9 unit in response to the 37-year-old Miller’s arrest because of his past legal history. However, he surrendered without confrontation this time.
