War Machine Arrested in Simi Valley, California

The manhunt for War Machine is over.

The veteran of UFC and Bellator MMA competition, who fled his Las Vegas home last week after a violent altercation with another man and his ex-girlfriend, has been caught and arrested in Simi Valley, California.

War Machine, who was born in Simi Valley before moving to San Diego (and eventually Las Vegas) to further his fighting career, was found in a Simi Valley hotel. He was taken into custody by police at the request of US Marshals.

Earlier this week, Christy Mack, War Machine’s ex-girlfriend, offered a harrowing account of the incident last week, including a list of her injuries (please be warned for graphic content). Per her statement, Mack suffered eighteen broken bones, sustained a ruptured liver, lost several teeth, and spent several days unable to walk.

The fighter, who was born Jon Koppenhaver before legally changing his name, has been incarcerated several times in numerous violent altercations. He was wanted on several charges, including assault and battery.

War Machine is now in Ventura County Jail, per local media outlets.
