Ah, the good ol’ days. Before there was Chael P. Sonnen, we had the entertainingly, irreverent Mike Tyson in the Boxing world. Whether in the ring or out, the man knew how to put on a show. Iron Mike would get on the mic and get in his opponents head with his viscous, verbal assaults. He’d say lines like “My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I’m just ferocious. I want his heart! I want to eat his children!” . Comedy Central’s Key & Peele have now made a hilarious reminder of Tyson’s tongue lashings.
The video re-enacts the classic war of words between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson in their build-up to their fights, but with a twist. What if all the words coming out of Iron Mikes mouth were in fact more than words? Many of Tyson’s insults were actually things that two homosexual men may say to each other. After all, The Great Alexander (which Tyson called himself) was a gay man.
