Believe it or not, both the UFC and Bellator have a long history of having their fighters engage in some form of charity work. They’ve orchestrated visits to sick kids in hospitals, flown to military bases overseas to hang out with deployed troops, and, in the case of the UFC, staged shows to benefit soldiers suffering from traumatic brain injuries.
And then there’s Justin Wren, a former TUFer who now fights in Bellator, and who – on his own – has been trekking to the (literally) untamed lands of Africa to help out the natives.
That, my friends, is a kindness that deserves immeasurable respect.
