Bellator World Champion Cuts Off Dreads In Attempt To Make Weight

Daniel Straus sacrificed his own hair to try and make 145 pounds Thursday.

Straus, who weighed in a half-pound over – even minus his hair – for his Bellator 112 title fight with Pat Curran, eventually hit the mark upon his second attempt.

However, the champion will be minus his dreads come fight night on Spike TV. Bellator director of communications Anthony Mazzuca posted the damage on Twitter:
