The word comes from mmajunkie.com whom reported that the formal release of Roger Huerta from the UFC has taken place.

Bellator has scheduled a video announcement for Monday 3 p.m. ET, which you can see on Bellator.com. This is rumored to be the announcement of Huerta to the tournament.

Bellator’s lucrative tournaments offers the potential earnings of $100,000 if you can come out on top in your division, over three fights and three months. Should Huerta make it through the promotion’s eight-man tournament, he’ll land a fight with current Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.
