All of the competitors made weight for the card, which will feature the semifinals of Bellator’s latest lightweight tourney. In one of the fights, rising lightweight Will Brooks will look to avenge the only loss of his career versus the powerful Saad Awad, who stopped him at Bellator 91 in February.
In the Season Nine tournament opening round, Brooks (11-1) cruised to a UD win over UFC vet John Alessio, and Awad (15-5) tapped out former TUF competitor Martin Stapleton. Brooks came in at 155.7 pounds for tomorrow’s scrap, and Awad weighed in at 155.2.
In the other semifinal, “Tiger” Sarnavskiy (24-1) will throw down with Ricardo Tirloni (16-4). Sarnavskiy quickly took out UFC veteran Marcus Davis in the quarterfinals, and Tirloni earned a unanimous decision win over Rich Clementi.
Sarnavskiy tipped the scales at 155.1 for Friday’s fight, and Tirloni weighed 155.2.
So, here are the complete weigh-in results for Bellator 105, which will be hosted by the Santa Ana Star Center. The main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
